Old Siding Removed and Hauled Away, Without the Mess Left Behind

Tearing off old siding leaves behind a lot more than most homeowners picture, loose nails, cracked and brittle panels, aging house wrap, and often years of built-up caulk and trim scraps. Before any of that starts coming down, our Walkerville, MI crew lays out protective ground covering across the work area, both to catch falling debris and to keep landscaping, walkways, and outdoor fixtures from getting damaged in the process. Getting this setup right matters just as much as the removal work itself, since a rushed tear off tends to leave stray nails scattered around the yard long after the job is finished.

As panels come off, the crew is also looking at what's underneath, keeping an eye out for rot, damaged sheathing, or signs of moisture that need to be documented. That way, the homeowner knows exactly what condition the wall is in before anything new goes up. This turns out to be especially valuable for anyone removing their siding as a first step before choosing a replacement material, since what the wall looks like underneath often shapes that next decision.

Once the old siding is fully off, everything gets loaded up and hauled away for proper disposal rather than left sitting in a pile. Walkerville, MI has its own rules around how construction debris needs to be handled, and our team takes care of that piece so homeowners aren't stuck arranging a dumpster or separate hauling service on their own. After #YEARS years of managing removal jobs throughout the area, we've found that a clean, organized tear off makes everything that follows go more smoothly, whether that's fresh siding going up or repairs getting underway.
